Polar Express

Since A Day Out With Thomas was such a success last year we decided to take the kids on the Polar Express. It was fun. And if you're wondering, it's a one time experience. I would do Thomas again though. We were very early so we could get a good seat. We took our time exploring the train yard. That was a big hit.Doug bought little Polar Express trains for the kids at the depot. They had fun trying them out on the tracks.Awwww .... my baby!! (He's getting so big)A smile is all we need to let us know we did a good job. What a wonderful payment for a parent. Of course hugs and kisses are great too and we got many of those on this trip.Paige had a big role in one of the songs. I'm sure you can guess which song it was. She held up her sign every time we sang her part. She did a great job although she got a little tired of it by the end.

And the highlight of the trip ... Santa! It's a good thing we wrote him a letter earlier to tell him what the kids wanted for Christmas because he only had time for a quick picture. He was very busy and had to hurry on to all the other children. All-in-all we had fun being together. We were grateful the train didn't tip over when everyone came over to our side to see a set-up outside resembling the North Pole.
