We went to check on them the other night at about 1:00 in the morning. This is what we found. Is there anything more precious?
Paige has greatly missed her friend, Dannika, who moved last summer. They loved dressing up. Paige had me take this picture of her in Preston's spider costume from two years ago to send to Dannika. I was surprised she could fit into it. It's her most recent favorite. 
And Preston didn't want to be left out. He is dressed up in his favorite dog jams. We haven't heard a response from Dannika yet, but we hope she knows we love and miss her.

It's so nice to see happy times with your kids. I know I really appreciate seeing the little kindnesses that my kids extend to each other. Sometimes it feels like we go through a kindness famine, but then someone will do somethings nice and it really makes a difference.
This is the true joy of motherhood. With all the frustrations that come along every day, it is such a welcome relief to see your kids fostering friendships amid all the fighting. It's so cute! I'm happy to see that is going on in your home as well. :)
I think that picture of Preston asleep on Paige is adorable. We've had our share of searching in the middle of the night for a missing child, only to find them all cuddled up in their sibling's bed.
