Can you guess who this is? Yes, it's Paige, but who is she pretending to be?

The only way I could get this picture was with Paige asleep. Go ahead, take a guess.....
If you guessed Curious George, you'd be right. Paige puts these boxing gloves on for monkey feet and walks around the house "talking" like Curious George does. It's basically squeeky monkey noises. We love you, Curious.

Dad is so proud of ME!!

Isn't our little boy cute? Doug was NOT PLEASED with mommy letting Presty put on Paige's boots. He yanked them off at the first chance and then let us enjoy the screaming as Preston let us know of his displeasure at not having the boots on anymore. Thanks, Doug. But seriously, isn't he cute?!! He's so proud and happy as a clam to be wearing pink boots.

Uh ... is this right? Very well, I accept ...

An AWESOME book

A friend of mine recently told me about this book. I like to read books other people tell me are good and OH MY GOSH. It is such a good book. I can't recommend it enough. I read it in 2 days.

A Distant Prayer: Miracles of the 49th Combat Mission by Joseph Banks and Jerry Borrowman

It is about ... "Joseph Banks, a young Latter-day Saint and lone survivor of his plane that was downed during a dangerous bombing run over Germany on his 49th mission - one mission away from going home. A prisoner of war, Joseph overcame impossible odds to mount a miraculous escape and return safely to his wife and young son."

I have never read a war book, but I was on the edge of my seat reading this one. It is full of amazing adventures. If you are wanting a good quick read, pick up this book. And, of course, let me know you read it so we can share our thoughts.

Presto's latest quote

Preston saw an "owie" on my arm. He pointed it out, "Mom, owie? I kiss it." He gave my arm a big WET kiss. Then he touched my arm, "Oh, wet, mom? I fix it." He walked into the living room where a very small toy kitchen was. He broke off the sink part, came over to me, turned on the sink and washed my arm with the little scrubber. "There you go, mom, all better."

Kids say the darndest things

I thought it would be fun to hear some of Preston's masterpieces lately. These are two short conversations for you to enjoy.

Preston (unfortunately) likes to play that he's a kitty. Paige will lay out a little trail of food and Preston gratefully crawls around and picks up the food with his mouth and eats it. The other day Paige assumed Preston would enjoy being a kitty and was saying, "Here kitty kitty kitty ... etc." Preston emphatically demanded, "I'm a boy! I'm Preston!"

Preston was bugging me one day and I told him to, "Go peddle your papers." He went away for a while and then came back and said, "Where's papers, mom?"

A BOX!!!

Everyone knows a box is basically the best thing you can give a kid to play with. Paige enjoyed playing with Hannah on her recent visit and looks forward to seeing her again.
